Somebody's gotta do it...

While I've been taking care of things in Memphis, somebody has to work.  Mike has been busy in India getting settled into his new job.

One of the best parts of his job is getting to know the people and culture of India.  There is a K-12 school on the property of one of the mills.  Mike toured it on a recent visit to the mill and met the teachers and students.

Before he went, he wrote a letter to each of the teachers telling them how much he appreciated them and thanking them for the wonderful job they are doing.

Once we get settled, I'm going to go visit the school.  Hopefully, there will some way I can help there.

Life in a Box

It’s been a while since my last post. There has been so much going on!  If any of you have had an international move, then you understand about the dreaded inventory.  You get to go through your entire house, inventory it, put a value on everything and then separate it into “air”, “sea”, “storage” and “get rid of it even if you have to pay someone to do it.”  Also, in our case, I had “Matthew”, “Weston” and “Weston can’t take this with him now, but will need it before we get back” categories.

I was trying my best to take of all of that and also keep the house semi-neat for showings.  HA!

Well, I am so glad that I can finally say that everything has been inventoried, packed up, shipped off and the house SOLD!!!   Yay!  Now I can sit back, kick my feet up and relax until I head to India.

Well, not exactly.

While all of the above was going on, everyone else’s life was going on, too.   Matthew, our oldest, asked his girlfriend of 4 years to marry him and she said, “YES!”  We are so happy!  She is so sweet, beautiful and has a heart for God!  An added bonus is that I get a daughter!  So, before I head to India, I am going to try and book the rehearsal dinner venue.  Surely everything else can be taken care of with Skype and email, right?  What did we do before the internet???

Coming soon!
